ok so i headed down to pattaya which is about 2 hours south of bangkok and its a beach town that is known for prostitutes haha among other things.. anyways we went there for two nights and went to see a dancing / lip synching show which was amazing...the catch is that all the peformers are transexuals!! it was great-- however unfair that those are some of the most gorgeous people i have ever seen especially all dressed up- needless to say i got some great pics-- one performer even grabbed nate and made him dance on stage it was great! basically thats all we did there besides eat and swim at the hard rock hotel-- which was super nice-- then we came back bangkok and i wanted to go to the grand palace but they day we were supposed to go it was like downpouring-- have i mentioned how much i hate the rain-- so instead we went shopping;-- well basically i checked my mail and then nate and i went to the movies--yes it sounds lame to go to the movies but let me tell you this was the most amazing theatre ever!! before you go in there is a waiting/lounge area where they bring you little starters and drinks-- then they escort you in the theatre and its sectioned off into little sections of 2 chairs-- so its like private kinda-- the best part is the seats-- these are like amazing-- they were leather and reclined and you got your own pillow and blanket-- basically i could sleep there and be happy forever!! we saw the transformers and it was pretty good and entertaining..
the next day we left for ko samui an island of thailand for a couple days-- we basically stayed there so we could go to the full moon party which was wonderful-- i have never seen so many drunk/drugged out people in my life.. we had to wait for over an hour to make it onto a boat to get there since the party was on another island but it was worth it.. i got some glow in the dark devil horns and got to dance and got some drinks-- it was great they had like a little tub and you get to choose your drinks and then they give you a bunch of straws-- basically i was the only one who liked the drink-- it was coke/redbull/vodka yum!! so we partied there from like 1 am to like 5am and decided to head back-- we got back to our hotel just in time for sunrise and i got some good pics of the ocean at dawn-- so peaceful-- then we slept for like 4 hours before we hadto get up and head out and catch an 8 hour bus/ferry ride to krabi-- another beach town--
we gotto krabi on saturday night and right away booked a tour for 8 am the next day--- we went kayaking/ elephant riding-- it was amazing-- during the kayak trip we went through like a jungle type area and there were these monkeys and they just jump right on your boat it was creepy/fun the babies were adorable.. so we paddled around and the scenery was amazing-- i think we went through thalane or something-- anyways we got back and headed to a place where you can ride elephants-- that was fun they are soo huge and pretty... i even got to ride on its neck which was fun, but the elephants have very coarse/short hair and that made me itchy. then we got back took a boat from ao nang beach to railay beach for the night and booked another adventure for today-- it was a snorkeling trip to four different islands around the area-- one of the islands we went to was where the movie the beach was filmed -- it was sad to see that the beach was trashed and gross since the tsunami hit there, but the mountains were amazing around it-- the snorkeling was okay-- not what i was expecting-- not that colorful but i still enjoyed it-- basically i wanted a tan and have yet to get one-- it was a fun trip and i got to meet some cool people from scottland and ohio-- basically we are heading back to bangkok tonight and may head up north in a couple days-- i want to go to chiang mai and some other places in bangkok before i head home in a week!! eeek so soon-- well tahts all i can think of for now-- hope everything is going fine back home muah!

ooooeee I am HERE
Hey all so i have been in Thailand for about a week and its great!! The time change wasn't that bad to get accustomed to.. right now it is 4 in the afternoon which means its about 2 am where you are.. anywho the first day i took it slow ans went to the mall and hung out and got to ride in a tuk tuk which is like a three wheeled scooter type of thing-- its great.. I got to go to a snake show where i got to take a pic with a huge snake- i thought it was going to bite my head off!! i also went to an aquarium which was lots of fun-- ya for fishies and penguins!! we also went to a zoo which was lots of fun.. but super duper hot and humid-- soo sticky but we got to feed a polar bear, a giraff and even take pics with baby tigers and an orangutan.. and then i got to go see a movie and play pool and bowl with nate and his cousin.. Dad you would be soo proud i kicked his butt in 8 ball-- I won and he hadn't even hit one in yet!! awww yea!!
then yesterday Nate and Net's uncle who is like the nicest man ever took us to the floating market which is like an hour and a half drive away.. basically its a big market where people sell stuff on boats and you rent a boat to go through the market-- it was really hot but really cool and interesting-- they were selling all the normal touristy crap but the fruit and noodles i got were amazing.. oo and nate's uncle bought me one of those hats-- i can't remember the name but i got to wear it the whole time it was awesome.. then we went home to take a shower and cool off before his uncle picked us up again for a night cruise.. we got to go on a really nice boat that served dinner and took us down the chao praya river and along the way it went past like wat arun and the grand palace which were lit up at night and gorgeous!!! we also went underneath this amazing bridge ..unfortunately my camera's batteries decided to die that night so i didnt get that many pics-- but nate got some so i will steal them from him-- basically it was amazingly gorgeous and i am glad i got to go.. today we had planned to go to the national museum and grand palace but the museum was closed so we went to jim thompson's house instead.. It was really interesting to see the fusion of thai and western architecture and design and it was gorgeous... all the woodwork was amazing and the plants outside were even better-- then we came to where i am now the mall in a hair salon with free internet!! yaya!! i got a ten dollar hair cut which is really good thats a shampoo, cut and blow dry-- pretty darn good for 300 baht...later today we are headed to pattaya a beach town a couple hours from here where i can work on my tan-- then we will head down south to the real tropical beaches before we head up north and back to bangkok so i can go to the museum and grand palace.. i don't know when i will be able to write again-- but right now the tri[ is amazing and i am having a blast and i have some great pics to show you all -- hope all is well-- and when i find postcards ill like ill hopefully be able to send them out-- dont think i forgot you i just havent found any yet..

Info
Hey all, so i totally stole this idea from Alison and figured it would be much easier to tell everyone about my trip with a blog. Hopefully I will use it because if its anything like my diaries, I will write in it once and then be over it. Anyways, I hope this will also help me in my old age to remember my trip with more details. Oh, but who knows, by then we may not even have such primitive things.. Anyways I am going to travel in Thailand starting June 18th to July 11th and I am super excited. If anyone has any suggestions of things I need to do over there please let me know; I love input! I will miss you all!! Anyways check up on this to see what I am up to.
